This walk explores the essential role of perspective and panorama in 19th- and 20th-century urban planning. Between park, broad avenues and prestigious monuments, these neighbourhoods appear as spaces of modernity. The “high-level” walk begins in front of Saint-Gilles prison and ends with the exceptional panorama from the tower of the Church of Saint Augustine, where the Brussels landscape can be taken in as a whole.
