The Municipality of Ganshoren's two cultural departments (Service Culture Française and Dienst Nederlandse Cultuur) are organising a talk and guided walking tours on the presence in Ganshoren of Jean Delhaye (1908-1993), architect and champion of the work of Victor Horta.

A student and huge admirer of Horta, Delhaye sought to preserve threatened works by the master at a time when Art Nouveau had fallen out of favour and many Art Nouveau buildings were being demolished.

The talk Jean Delhaye in Ganshoren. Architect and champion of Victor Horta will discuss Horta's influence on the work of Delhaye, one of the last people to work alongside him, and Delhaye's various campaigns to safeguard Horta's work.

The talk about Jean Delhaye will be held by Jos Vandenbreeden, restoration architect and Art Nouveau expert.
