201 Geleytsbeek: life, decline and revival of a stream

This guided walk explores the Geleytsbeek, a stream in Uccle whose history reflects the profound transformations of the area. Since the late 1990s, several projects have restored a visible and ecological place to this watercourse, which had long been largely vaulted, polluted and integrated into the sewer network. The walk looks back at its former role, notably as an essential resource for many mills, before turning to the current challenges of its rehabilitation.
