In the heart of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, the Town Hall and the Charlier Museum each tell the story of a place and of the people who shaped it. As an important civic landmark, the Town Hall has accompanied generations of residents through major moments in life: registrations, marriages, declarations, administrative procedures and family memories. Beyond its institutional role, it also preserves rich architectural and decorative heritage, with ceremonial rooms, ornamented corridors, stained glass and municipal symbols recalling the history of Saint-Josse.
A few steps away, the Charlier Museum opens the doors of a former townhouse built by the young Victor Horta for collector and patron Henri Van Cutsem. Later bequeathed to his friend, sculptor Guillaume Charlier, it now houses a remarkable collection of paintings, sculptures, furniture, tapestries and works of art.
