Exhibition

Chez Olivia

Originally, Brussels was linked to Alsemberg by a long country lane, as drawn on the map by Jacques de Deventer (1550-1554). Based in what was originally a typical neoclassical house with a shop added later, the Chez Olivia gallery puts on exhibitions of contemporary art. For the Heritage Days, it will also be hosting a reflection on Art Nouveau and in particular its social vision, told through the story of Victor Horta's Maison du Peuple/Volkshuis (House of the People), from its construction to its demolition.

The exhibition will feature illustrations by Art Nouveau enthusiast Hadelin Springuel.
