68 Sound journey on the Brussels-Scheldt Maritime Canal aboard the Waterbus

[Mobility]

The Brussels-Scheldt Maritime Canal is an emblematic Brussels landscape made accessible to the public thanks to the Water Bus river shuttle. Beyond the pleasure of a boat trip, the route offers a privileged view of the canal’s heritage and ecological resources, shaped by five centuries of history and some of the capital’s most spectacular landscapes. During the journey, a sound installation gives voice to former residents and workers of the canal area, sharing their particular ties to this waterside landscape. Along the way, passengers will encounter the plane trees of the Allée Verte, the Familistère Godin, the Marly coking plant, the Buda Bridge and more.

Possibility to leave the tour midway in Vilvoorde (Steenkaai).

In collaboration with CC vzw.
