As true tools of mobility within buildings, lifts accompanied Brussels’ vertical development and helped shape its urban landscape. From the Solbosch district to the Palais de la Folle Chanson, this tour invites visitors to discover a selection of historic lifts listed in the elevators.heritage.brussels inventory, compiled by Homegrade with the support of urban.brussels. It will also explore the challenges of making them safe while respecting their heritage value.
