This route invites visitors to discover the history and heritage of Evere, mainly in the lower part and centre of the municipality.

Until the early 20th century, Evere retained the charm of an agricultural village, known for its witloof, grain and vegetable crops, brickyards and the know-how of its stonemasons. During the interwar period, the municipality gained new momentum with the development of the airfield and the creation of a new district: Notre-Dame. After the damage caused by the Second World War, Evere became increasingly urbanised, leading to the almost total disappearance of its farmland.

The walk highlights a church whose tower dates back to the 13th century, a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, a former windmill from the 19th century, the town hall from the 20th century and other curiosities that tell the story of the municipality’s evolution.
