As part of the urban landscapes theme, Prague House, the official representation of the City of Prague in Brussels, offers a reflection on the way architecture shapes the city at every scale.
In the main hall, a model of the Vltava Philharmonic Hall will be presented, along with an introduction to this project designed by the Danish architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). Conceived as a new cultural and social hub and a future architectural emblem of Prague, the project illustrates the role of contemporary architecture in the evolution of metropolitan landscapes.
On the ground floor, an exhibition devoted to door handles invites visitors to look at the urban landscape differently. Often discreet, these design pieces are nevertheless the first point of contact between visitor and architecture. They reveal attention to detail and influence the way spaces are perceived and inhabited.
Through these two exhibitions, Prague House offers a journey across different scales of the city: from the smallest architectural element to a project set to transform Prague’s landscape in the long term.
