The Art et marges musée invites visitors to discover LE MUSÉE DES MUSÉES, a guided tour that explores, with humour and poetry, the many forms a museum can take. Each room brings together groups of works from the collections, arranged around themes inspired by different museum typologies. Along the way, visitors pass through a natural history museum, a planetarium, a white cube, a fashion museum and other mini-museums that reflect the diversity of Brussels’ museum landscape.

The exhibition plays with the codes of display, scenography and classification in order to shift them. Among the Art Brut collections, between tissue paper, the sounds of midwife toads and objects brought out of storage, creations from the contemporary visual arts scene also appear. For the occasion, the Art et marges musée enjoys seeing categories everywhere, but its true speciality remains making them enter into dialogue, blurring the boundaries between artworks, audiences and ways of looking.
