99 Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union

These two buildings probably form a double townhouse designed by Tilman-François Suys, the architect and urban planner responsible for the layout of the Leopold Quarter. They are among the rare older ensembles still preserved on Rue Belliard.
Dating from around 1855, the ensemble belongs to the historic streetscape of one of Brussels’ first planned districts. Its balanced Renaissance-inspired elevations are particularly remarkable. Now home to the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, the complex reflects the evolution of the European Quarter, shaped over time by diplomatic, residential and institutional uses. Visitors will also learn about the history of bilateral relations between Belgium and Lithuania. (Listed since 27/10/1994)
Guided tours on Saturday at 09:00 (EN), 10:00 (FR), 11:00 (EN), 12:00 (FR), 13:00 (EN), 14:00 (FR), 15:00 (EN), 16:00 (FR) and 17:00 (EN) (duration 1 hour, maximum 30 people per departure).

Visitors are asked to arrive at the exact time of their booked visit and to bring their identity card. Access cannot be guaranteed in case of arrival after the start of the visit, without prior booking or without an identity document.
To facilitate security checks, it is recommended to bring only small bags. Backpacks and large bags will not be allowed inside the building.
Animals are not allowed. Visitors must remain with their guide or a staff member and may not move freely around the building.
