164 Heritage run: Brussels along the water
[Neighbourhoods]
Discover Brussels’ urban landscapes from a dynamic angle with this heritage run of about 10 km around the canal. Accessible to runners of all levels, the loop invites participants to decode the transformations of this major axis, a true landscape marker between industrial past and natural renewal.
Starting from the Royal Depot, the route explores the monumental built landscape of Tour & Taxis and the social landscapes of the Maritime district before opening onto the broader perspectives of Laeken. With explanatory stops along the way, the run offers a playful reading of infrastructures such as the port and bridges, as well as the new green spaces along the water. A sporty and convivial immersion in the material and intangible heritage of the waterway at the heart of the city.
The route is completed while running. Don’t forget to bring water and wear suitable clothing and shoes.
In collaboration with Le Tamanoir.
