Walking Tour

Family walk: The (hi)story of buildings (fully booked)

What is architecture?

Taking bricks, timber and concrete and building houses and palaces out of them – that's construction. But imagine building something in a way that moves you, that touches your heart, makes you feel good and say to yourself, "That's beautiful". This is what we mean by architecture. Do you like it or dislike it? Does it appeal to you?

To find out, you first have to take the time to look, to discover. That's the starting point for this walking tour. Along the way, the guide and participants will observe the buildings together, work out why they were built the way they were, what ideas lie behind them, and so on.

For families with children aged 8 and over.

In cooperation with Brukselbinnenstebuiten.
