Up close with Victor Horta’s façade

For Heritage Days, these special preview tours offer a rare opportunity to discover the surviving fragments of the Hôtel Aubecq façade, ahead of the launch of a regular programme of guided visits. More than 75 years after this monumental masterpiece by Victor Horta was demolished, its façade is now being reassembled horizontally through an innovative partnership between Urban and Constructiv, the construction industry’s sector fund. Narrowly saved in 1950, its roughly 600 sculpted stones continue to raise questions about how we preserve our heritage. Today, they form an exceptional collection inventoried as movable cultural heritage.

The tours retrace the remarkable story of this lost monument and bring you closer to the façade than ever before, revealing details that are normally out of reach as well as the extraordinary skill of the craftspeople who created it.

In collaboration with Arkadia and Korei Guided Tours.
