This workshop invites children aged 7–12, accompanied by their parents, to explore Brussels' urban landscapes through guided sensory walks in selected places. The walk connects directly to this year's theme: children encounter the built and natural landscape not as passive visitors, but as active readers of the city.

Led by an artistic mentor and facilitators from our institution and a local landscape guide, children walk, observe, and engage all their senses, noticing textures, sounds, light, and the everyday landscape around them. Along the route, they discover multiple languages of children. The heart of the idea is simple and that simplicity is part of its value. We want to look at Brussels' urban landscape heritage through the eyes of children, the ones who represent its future. Whatever they take away from the walk like a word, a sketch, a leaf, drawing, and an expression becomes part of collective output which will turn into fanzine, will be completed in future.

This walk is part of a wider walking project taking place in different parts of Brussels, organized by Beinsitu Sustainability Institute ASBL and supported by YTB.
