La Maison Verte et Bleue invites the public to discover water as an element of the landscape through a playful and educational activity in its garden. By observing life in and around the pond, participants search for small aquatic organisms and learn how water carries life and helps shape the landscape. Looking closely at what lives in the water reveals how rich and precious even a small pond can be within a wider landscape ensemble.
The activity shows that water is not only a natural element, but also a source of experience, knowledge and biodiversity. In the Pays de Neerpede, water plays an essential role in the identity of the territory: ponds, streams and wetlands structure the landscape and form a living interaction between nature and human use. The workshop invites visitors to read and experience this landscape at another scale, starting from the life present in and around the pond.
