Today, around 180 nationalities live together in Brussels. Belgians make up the biggest group, followed by French, Romanians and Moroccans. The MigratieMuseumMigration in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean/Sint-Jans-Molenbeek tells the stories of the first generation of guest workers, of the first arrivals at the Petit-Château/Klein-Kasteeltje, of the expats, the war refugees, the Europeans who move freely within the European Union and many others. It is a friendly museum where visitors can discover the city and the lives of others through memories and memorabilia.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the current exhibition: “On est là ! The first generation of Moroccan and Turkish workers and their families (1964 – 1974 – 2024)” (in French and Dutch).

It is not permitted to photograph the personal stories in the exhibition.
