Walk

In the footsteps of Brussels’ female builders with An Claeys

© L’architecture qui dégenre

An Claeys will take you on the trail of women builders in North-West Brussels. Travelling along railway line 28 from Parc Elisabeth/Elisabethpark to Tour & Taxis, you’ll discover stories of public spaces where neighbouring women teamed up to create urban design projects in response to collective needs, often in cooperation with experts and local authorities. The walk will also be an opportunity to swap recipes and build cocottes bruxelloises together.
Philologist An Claeys has been involved in various multilingual projects in Brussels involving active learning, tourism and citizen participation for over 15 years. She is fascinated by the many stories of women breaking down barriers and joining forces to build projects in their neighbourhoods.

In cooperation with L'architecture qui dégenre.
