Bike tour

Brussels through the prism of Brusselization

© bruciel

Like any other modern city, the Belgian capital has had its share of transformations between the 50s and 90s. Hop in the saddle to explore the neighbourhoods and the changes they have witnessed, from the Luxembourg train station to the North quarter and via the historic centre. You will learn that the concept of modernity, as well as ideas about beauty and function, have evolved a great deal in the city during this period. What impact did this have on the inhabitants’ lives and what traces did they leave behind? This trip is also an opportunity to take an objective look at urban planning decisions and their consequences.

In cooperation with Pro Velo. Please bring your own bike.
