Tour of Brussels Schuman station

collectie openbare werken © bruciel

Located entirely underground, Bruxelles-Schuman/Brussel-Schuman station is a masterpiece of engineering. This tour of the station will cover:

  • the area around the station itself, the international context of the neighbouring European institutions and the station’s place at the heart of the district;
  • the old part of the station (platforms 1 and 2), as well as the technically challenging new part (platforms 3 and 4);
  • the metro line passing under the train tracks and the associated challenge of multi-level rail traffic.

As a key multimodal hub, this station enables a seamless connection between different modes of transport: train, metro, tram and bus. This interconnection, made possible by cutting-edge engineering projects, strengthens the links between European citizens and makes it easier for them to get across the city.

In cooperation with Le Tamanoir.
