Walk

Mont des Arts and Royal Library (fully booked)

JP Lejeune © Visit Brussels

From the top of Mont des Arts/Kunstberg, you can admire architecture all around you! The history of art, of architecture and of the city are captured in a glance.
Your guide will explain the genesis of the Mont des Arts/Kunstberg project and the stages of its realisation. Its story is not set in stone, as demonstrated by the fact that a new entrance to the Palais des Congrès/Congrespaleis was created in the form of a glass cube. The gardens designed by René Péchère were also renovated in early 2000.
Last but not least, the Royal Library of Belgium, or KBR, whose current building was completed in 1969, has recently added a new roof terrace where you will have the chance to round off your visit with a drink!

In cooperation with Brussels Chatterguides.
