Walk

Discover the history of Belgian women architects with Élisabeth Gérard (fully booked)

© L’architecture qui dégenre

The route of this guided walk showcases, in chronological order from the 1950s to the contemporary era, some post-war Brussels buildings that have remained under the radar, providing a chance to take a fresh look at the city centre and gain an awareness of the built heritage in the neighbourhood. This walk also aims to cement in the public consciousness the names of women architects who have had an impact since the post-war period and to chronicle the development in working conditions of women active in the architectural domain. The route also takes in a number of major renovation projects: De Greef jewellery shop, the Galerie Greta Meert art gallery, the Hospice Pachéco former hospital site and MAD Brussels (former UPL showroom).

In cooperation with L'architecture qui dégenre.
