Liszt Institute – Cultural Centre of the Hungarian Embassy

The Hungarian Cultural Centre is based at number 10 Treurenberg (named after the hill linking Place Sainte-Gudule/Sint-Goedeleplein to Rue Royale/Koningsstraat). Significant remains of Brussels' first encircling wall have been preserved here, both inside and behind the current building. This defensive structure, dating from either the 12th or 13th century, ran for four kilometres, protecting one of the earliest cores of the city.

Guided tours throughout the day (in French and English) will provide more details about these remains. No reservation needed.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a photography exhibition on the theme of dressmaking. On reservation only : a 30/40-minute workshop (in English and French) will introduce children and adults to Táncház, a traditional Hungarian dance event at 14:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00. Groups of max 30 persons.
