Stockel and the place Dumon/Dumonplein
Located in the heart of the Stockel neighbourhood, Place Dumon/Dumonplein stands on a site formerly known as Campagne Dumon, named after its owner, the 19th-century Belgian government minister Auguste Dumon. In 1928, the land was bought by the municipality and developed into a market square. Since then, many projects have enhanced its social and community role. The market, which is held there three days a week, is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2021. This panel-based exhibition will present the development of the square and its market over time.
There will also be short video clips of people involved in the life of the square, which visitors can access by scanning a QR code.
