Guided tour
Woluwe’s 4Cs: clinics, campuses, commerce, culture
Starting from the Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc hospital, our route will cross the Louvain-en-Woluwe Campus, whose design arose from the protest movements of 1968 and reflects the issues current at that time. Students were fully involved in the architects’ work, and although considered ‘unfinished’ by some, this participatory architecture was applauded the world over at the time. Making our way back down to Boulevard de la Woluwe/Woluwelaan, we’ll see how commercial, cultural and residential functions exist side by side in the form of apartment blocks, the Woluwe Shopping Centre and Wolubilis.
In cooperation with 91e Parallèle.
