Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillis and its squares
Squares are central locations in the structure of the city and play a vital role as meeting points. Therefore, squares have always been the focus of much attention, in terms of both the architecture that surrounds them and the design of the public space that makes them what they are. On this tour, you will discover the factors that have shaped these distinctive meeting places and learn to look at them through fresh eyes. After starting at Place Van Meenen/Van Meenenplein, you will proceed to Place Morichar/Moricharplein, where you will soak up its great architectural diversity, so characteristic of Brussels. You will then cross Parc Pierre Paulus/Pierre Pauluspark to end up at Parvis de Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillisvoorplein, a hub for meetings of all kinds!
