Guided bicycle tour

From village square to town hall

A town hall is the seat of a municipal council, the authority closest to residents and most associated with their day-to-day existence. This is a place where citizens converge throughout their lives and where they meet and cross paths. This bicycle tour will take you past several of the Brussels-Capital Region’s town halls, each having their own special characteristics, reflective of the area they represent. To fully appreciate these buildings, which are symbols and focal points for their respective municipalities, we need to take a closer look at local history and understand the background to their construction. The tour will take in the municipalities of Ixelles/Elsene, Saint-Gilles/Sint-Gillis, Forest/Vorst and Anderlecht.

In cooperation with Once in Brussels.
