The Brussels (pre-)metro network: a place of encounters, bustling with life
On this tour you will explore those metro stations which stand out from the rest in being key interchanges between lines or modes of transport in a city that is always on the move (Bourse/Beurs, De Brouckère, Simonis, Mérode/Merode, Montgomery, Schuman, Gare Centrale/Centraal Station, etc.). You will find out how the stations work, what makes them special, and how incorporating features such as contemporary artworks and attractive decor enhances their quality. Learn about the upgrades made in recent years, the materials used and some of the many facilities rolled out for the convenience of station users. To make the tour run as smoothly as possible, the audio will be provided through headphones which will be available free of charge.
