Let’s meet on the steps of the Bourse/Beurs!
Brussels’ central boulevards have become the place to go out, meet others or mingle with the lively crowds. There are certain spots where young people like to hang out, while locals too have their favourite haunts. Meanwhile, the city council, as part of its pedestrianisation of the boulevards, has been keen to create specific areas conducive to social interaction. For example, the redeveloped Place de Brouckère/De Brouckèreplein has been designed to host major events while the water feature opposite the Bourse/Beurs is intended to be a restful and refreshing refuge in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. As for the green spaces linking the two, they provide the perfect opportunity to sit and chat. This tour will take in all of these places that have been developed specifically to promote conviviality and spontaneity in the centre of Brussels.
