Discovering the new Canal district through its residents
This walk will take in public spaces, parks, cafés and cultural and community venues in the neighbourhoods of northern Brussels, chosen and presented directly by local residents. This human dimension is a vital part of these areas, with their wealth of history, stories and experiences. You will also pass by some iconic landmarks bearing witness to large-scale collective endeavours of the past and future: Tour & Taxis, the former railway station Gare Maritime, Quai des Péniches/Akenkaai, Parc Maximilien/Maximiliaanpark and La Dalle, among others. So get ready for a unique experience that will show you a part of Brussels as you’ve never seen it before!
