Youth movements, heritage exploration and non-profit activities in North-East Brussels

The COVID-19 pandemic has particularly affected young people and their education and social ties. While schools help with forging friendships, youth movements give young people a feeling of belonging and a desire to expand their social horizons, while also encouraging them to explore their own city.

This photographic exhibition charts the timeline of youth movements in Brussels’ North-East neighbourhood. A memory-centred work based on an extensive photographic collection, it documents the activities of the area’s Scouts and their exploration of the Belgian capital’s heritage, including Parc du Cinquantenaire/Jubelpark and the Squares neighbourhood, as well as the establishment of non-profit organisations in North-East Brussels. The exhibition will feature a video montage of photos.

In cooperation with L’Estampille.
